Let ColoSpace provide your infrastructure as a service so you can preserve capital and focus on your business.
Organizations today face a constant security threat to their data and application environments. IT is presented with a seemingly impossible dual-mandate - make applications as easy and accessible as possible, but do so in a completely secure fashion.
ColoSpace has built a suite of managed security services that offer our customers with unique and flexible solutions to address multiple layers of threats - perimeter security, intrusion protection, and remote access.
Firewalls are an integral part of every organization's security framework. They are complex devices that act as a gatekeeper, determining what traffic is authorized and what should be blocked. Yet as important as it is, an improperly configured firewall is worse than having no firewall protection at all because it provides a false sense of security.
ColoSpace's Managed Firewall service is based on the Cisco ASA Line of enterprise-class firewalls. The Cisco ASA 5505 is the entry-level solution, providing a base level of firewall protection as well as an integrated 8 port 10/100 switch. The Cisco ASA5510 is a mid-range firewall that provides the basic firewall services as well as enhanced capabilities including multiple physical networks and secure VLANs. The ASA 5520 provides true enterprise class protection and capabilities. Both the 5510 and 5520 offer excellent options for redundancy and extra services like Intrusion Protection Service.
Intrusion Protection Service (IPS) is the next layer of defense for a customer's Internet-accessible infrastructure. IPS adds a layer of intelligence and application awareness that a standard firewall does not always possess.
ColoSpace Intrusion Protection Service utilizes the Cisco SSM AIP module to provide a strong defense against denial of service attacks and other internet risks. The module is regularly updated with attack signatures from the Cisco Global Network.
The RSA SecurID Appliance provides customers with dual-factor authentication in conjunction with their Remote Access VPN. The SecurID solution directly integrates in to our Cisco ASA Managed Firewall solution (purchased separately) and helps firms meet PCI, HIPAA, SoX, and other industry and regulatory compliance requirements.
The RSA SecurID provides each remote access user with an industry-standard RSI SecurID Keyfob. The keyfob provides a secondary password for the remote user that changes every 60 seconds. The user needs their own username and password as well as the secondary password to successfully authenticate, providing two ways to identify and authenticate a user.
